Support Local Affordable Housing
At the Housing Resource Center, we believe that housing is belonging and belonging builds a thriving community.
Mountainlands Community Housing Trust (MCHT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Founded in 1993, MCHT is based on the belief that a safe affordable home is often a family’s first step toward economic self-sufficiency. MCHT addresses the dual problems of housing affordability and availability on three fronts: acquisition and new construction of affordable housing, direct assistance in securing housing and needed basic services, education and advocacy to promote housing policy.
We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity to rent a townhome at Parkview Place in Heber City, UT through the Credits-to-Own (CROWN) rent-to-own program. CROWN provides qualified households the chance to rent a home at a rate substantially below market value, with the long-term opportunity to purchase the home at a reduced price. Homes are rented for a required 15-year compliance period in accordance with Utah Housing Corporation (UHC) and IRS guidelines. At the end of this period, residents have the first right to purchase their townhome at an affordable price compared to market value at that time. CROWN is a tax-credit program supported by private investors and includes income limits established by UHC, which vary by household size and property.
