HOPA
Twenty years ago, Mountainlands purchased the 122 units at Holiday Village and Parkside Apartments, preserving them from being converted into market-rate rentals or demolished to make way for a more lucrative use. Now, Mountainlands is preparing for the complete redevelopment of the entire site. By phasing construction, we will replace the existing units without displacing any residents during construction and add units to the community.

Quick Facts
About the Property
Units
We are rebuilding the existing units to retain current residents and existing financial support (i.e., retaining Rental Assistance funds for 115 units) and adding additional units to the site. The number of new units and mix of market/affordable will depend on amount of funds raised, project financing and zoning requirements.
Neighborhood
The project’s superb location gives residents easy access to schools, grocery stores and employment centers via bus lines and other alternative modes of transportation. Flexible community space to be developed on site where residents can participate in community activities and access services with a special emphasis on activities and spaces for neurodiverse and senior residents.
Residents
The people that live here are our neighbors, friends, and colleagues. Over half of the current resident households identify as either senior and/or disabled. Thanks to financial subsidies, nearly all residents pay just 30% of their monthly income toward their rent. Without this crucial support, many of the HOPA residents would have been displaced from our community decades ago.
Community Support
HOPA is located in the heart of our big-hearted community and the people who live (and will live) there are Parkites, through and through. Investments in their housing will return community-wide benefits for generations to come.
