Housing for People, Not For Profit
Mountainlands Community Housing Trust (MCHT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Founded in 1993, MCHT is based on the belief that a safe affordable home is often a family’s first step toward economic self-sufficiency. MCHT addresses the dual problems of housing affordability and availability on three fronts: acquisition and new construction of affordable housing, direct assistance in securing housing and needed basic services, and education and advocacy to promote housing policy.

Executive Director's Letter
Winter 2009
Mountainlands Community Housing Trust (MCHT) was proud to show the public four new homes at The Woods of Parley's Lane Subdivision at its open house/community celebration earlier this month. These large Energy Star Certified homes will soon be sold to two families earning less than 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI), one earning less than 60% AMI and one less than 80% AMI. All buyers work for nonprofit organizations in Summit County and some qualified for subsidized loans and all for 100% financing. These homes are the 122nd home built by MCHT since 2002.
